Here is a strategy that you can use to increase your abandoned cart recovery rate.
Email # 1:
It needs to be delivered within first 5 hours of the abandoned cart. Add dynamic block but do not give discount straight away in your first email. Treat your first email as a reminder so anyone who dropped out due to the some other issue, they can simply buy through this email. Add customer support feature at the end.
Email # 2:
Give a discount in this email.Email # 2, needs to be on point because it’s a follow up email, going to the people who either didn’t opened your email or didn’t recovered their cart. Either way, it’s going to be a simple email with product image, a CTA & a simple discount.
Email # 3:
Time to add a timer in your email. Make full use of space here. Add the testimonial of your product, add one big, final personalized discount.
Email # 4:
Add some value in this email. Examples could be some tips, tricks or even Frequently Asked Questions linked to your site.
A/B Testing
A/B test the following things in your emails
Delivery Time for first email ( 30 minutes vs 4 Hours )
CTA ( Buy now vs Take me )
Personalized Emails vs Non Personalized Emails
Length of email
