18 days ago I posted some numbers for an ecom brand Email Marketing. The first month was not good but after 3 months, we had started doing $50k + in emails. 18 Days later, I am posting again. We have just crossed $60k in sales with 27% revenue generated from emails.
The Goal is $70k. The key is having a good open rate. If your emails are good in copy & design but are not being opened, what’s the point of all that effort?
In order to reach from bad revenue to 50k in emails and from 50k to 60k, we didn’t have to go out of the box, just sticking to my basics with improved retargeting and testing. To hit $70k in emails and generate 35% of revenue from email marketing for this client, we are going to do the following things. Creating sub audiences within the store based on purchase behaviour, and their email journey.
Each audience in the email list is going to receive extremely targeted email campaigns. Basically, instead of having 1 simple campaign & content schedule for the whole email list, we are going to have at least 4 different campaigns & content schedules, each targeting a different type of audience within the store.
The ratio of emails per week sent to an individual profile will stay the same but every audience will be receiving different types of emails within campaigns, with different copies & obviously different designs. This is going to be a lot of work for our team.
This strategy is going to enable us to maximize the revenue through campaigns.
We have already generated $60k with the emails & now that we have cracked the code for this client, it’s going to go up.
